Mickey's Mouse-ke-TAG™ - NEW! Promotes Physical and Mental Exercise featuring Characters from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse TV Series!

Overview:
Mickeys Mouse-ke-TAG is an active learning toy for preschoolers that promotes mental and physical exercise.

The games electronic hand-held tagger is shaped like the clubhouse from the popular Mickey Mouse Clubhouse TV series (on Disney Channels Playhouse Disney programming block for preschoolers). From a speaker inside the clubhouse, Goofy calls out descriptions of different targets; each target looks like a familiar Disney character. Kids listen for the call-outs and then run to tag the corresponding targets.

There is a microchip embedded in the clubhouse that uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to recognize the characters. When the clubhouse is placed over the correct target, the circuit is complete and players advance. If kids tag an incorrect target, Goofy will repeat the call-out and encourage them to try again.

This non-traditional use of RFID brings an element of magic to the game as it seems like Goofy is really inside the clubhouse and can identify his friends. It also allows the game to be played at varying degrees of physical difficulty as the targets can be spread out across short or long distances and placed high or low. Farther targets at different heights result in more running, bending, reaching and stretching.

Mickeys Mouse-ke-TAG gives kids a mental work-out as well. As the game progresses, the call-outs become more challenging. In early levels, Goofy calls out names (Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck or Goofy), and sometimes the first letter of a name (D is for Donald). Once kids master names and letters, the game adds in colors and catch phrases (Who has a pink bow? Who says Golly?). The audio clues are given in the corresponding characters voice, and upbeat music keeps kids energized and engaged.

In addition to the main game, Mickeys Mouse-ke-TAG also features a sequence-building memory game, a hide-and-seek treasure hunt, and multi-player modes. Each game requires physical exertion that aids in the development of large and small muscle groups while improving coordination and motor skills. The sharing and listening aspects of the game practice positive social behaviors.

Mickeys Mouse-ke-TAG can be played solo or in teams, indoors or out. It is an ideal game for families to play together as it exercises the bodies and minds of multiple generations.

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My 3 and 4 year old children LOVE this game. It encourages them to share and to think. The different games and levels make it entertaining for just one young child or several children. Perfect when our triplet friends come over!

The only negative I found with this is that the characters are attached to their bases by one tiny piece of plastic. They tend to fall off their stands sometimes. But no biggie...we just pop them right back on and keep going!
