Overview:
Turn on the airstreams, arm your warriors with strategic snap-on weapons and unleash them into mid-air battle! Experience the magic of mid-air combat with Verticon, the first aerial battle system. Go head-to-head with 3D warriors that fight in flight. Combat commences when you release your palm-sized battling sphere into an inverted dome perched atop a foot-high air-blowing base. The Verticon warriors hover over the dome, floating and fighting in its powerful jet stream until one warrior is knocked out of the airflow and plummets to defeat.
The strategic game play of Verticon was developed by Lone Shark Games, some of the minds behind Magic: The Gathering and the ever-popular Pokemon. With varying levels of difficulty, Verticon appeals to the 7-year-old child looking for simple, straight-forward fun, as well as to the preteen in search of advanced competition. Prepare your warrior for battle by thoughtfully choosing and arranging its armor. Different battle gear alters your advantages by directly affecting the weight and flight-height of your warrior. Customize your floating fighter's arsenal by mixing and matching weapons to develop your own secret battle strategy. Collect all the warriors you can for special skills!

The Verticon Story:
In the year 4050, a cataclysmic event rocked a far away planet. Survivors were scattered far across the globe. Clans formed to fight for territory, food and life. To protect themselves they battled in armored, floating spheres that were generated by massive lava pools found across the planet. Years passed, and the inhabitants became self-sufficient. The need to battle for survival was reduced, but the thirst for competition was very much alive. Clans continued to fight, but for sport, not survival. This sport is called... VERTICON!
The Sound Battle Attachment requires 2 AAA batteries. The Air Battle Arena plugs into the wall. Works with US power only (120 volts).

My son is all about Japanese card games, so he's all about attacks and special abilities. When I found this toy I just had to get it for him for his 10th birthday. He loves it. So far, he hasn't broken it. So far, he doesn't even mind having to fetch his warriors when they get knocked out of the arena. He loves reading about his warriors' "histories" and outfitting them with weapons. His biggest problem is when his little bro gets in his way, because the five year old just can't play at the 10 year old's level of understanding. In time.

My grandson opened the box & packages and started playing within 10 minutes. He has gone back to it over & over for more than 3 weeks and has now started playing with it with a buddy. They love it.

Both my son (9) and my daughter (12) enjoy playing with this toy. My son is interested in collecting more orbs and weapons. A collection box or traveling case for both the orbs and weapons would be a nice addition to this series.

I absolutely love the fact that this toy doesn't require batteries. My son just plugs it in and he's ready to play.

My boys have wanted this game & they are estatic that they finally have it. I thought the air fight would be lifted a little higher, and you can only use one or two weapons at a time or it seem to weigh the battle balls down, but it works otherwise & they're having fun!!!! My guy lost the first battle!! darn!!

My son has been asking for Verticon for a couple of years now and he was so thrilled when he opened it. This has been the most used toy since Christmas morning. He's already looking to buy more weapons for the warriors.

My boys first fell in love with this toy through the television commercial advertising the product. I started liking the product as I researched its features and reviews on the internet. This was just what I was shopping for EXCEPT the warrior drop attachment- we havent played yet but all the web sites say this is a cool attachment. This toy looks like great fun.
