About Skeleflex:
Skeleflex is a creative ball-and-socket building system that puts kids in control. Its interchangeable bone-shaped pieces can be combined to make aliens, dinosaurs and other fantastical creatures that move in a lifelike manner.
Rigid parts rotate at the point of connection and motion is enhanced by inserting bendable joints between bones. Form the skeletal framework then add small, flexible connectors to give heads, limbs, tails and torsos realistic movement.
Build predators with dropping jaws and flapping wings, or assemble aliens with wavering tentacles and swaying spines. Kids can make exact replicas of the creatures in their Skeleflex idea books, or they can design their own unique models. Construct a multi-headed, moving martian-asaurus, or follow step-by-step instructions for a more recognizable masterpiece.
Skeleflex sets come in bone or skull-shaped carrying cases and contain enough parts to assemble the alien or dinosaur depicted on its package. Dinosaur collections are based on exaggerated versions of prehistoric reptiles, but kids have the option of putting Triceratops horns on a Velociraptor's head if that's what makes them happy. All parts are compatible, even between dinosaur and alien species. Idea books contain tips for building grandiose creations by adding on and combining parts from different sets. No matter how tame or outrageous the vision is, it can be built and brought to life.

My 9 yr old son was thrilled to find this under our christmas tree. He opened it and assembled it immediately. He did not require any assistance until he tried to assemble it to the platform. He has thoroughly enjoyed this toy.

T-Rex - A greatly sculpted & posable figure!
No doubt, the figure is greatly sculpted, extremely posable, fun to use for long periods of time and looks great just to display.
How to use this product:
Look at the pictorial instructions included. Make sure that you have all the pieces that is seen on the page. Connect each piece as shown. After the assembly, simply move the body with your hands or plug in the cord into the T-Rex's back and use the Dino Powerflex Lab to have automatic movement. On the instructions, you can also build him into a new form using the picture on the top right or you can change him by placing other Skeleflex figures or you could also make up you own monster by using your imagination with other Skeleflex figures. Be sure to read the battery notes on the instructions as well.
Here in My opinion is the important aspects of the figure for the two main uses.
For Children:
The pieces are small so I recommend a child around 10 years of age and a child whom is careful with small items. The pieces are durable but can be hard to put in and taken out of the sockets so it is important that parents show how to properly treat the product in order for the figure to be enjoyed for a long time without breakage. The rubber joints are soft and also needs to patiently be used. For children who is unfamiliar with Dinosaurs, this is a great way for them to learn about the great animals of the past. It is also a neat way to learn about skeletons. One other great educational feature is the modern articulation and posability of the figure.
For Collectors:
In My opinion, these Skeleflex figures are not just for kids but also adult collectors as well. Countless poses and tight joints keep them looking greatly displayed on the shelf. If you are a Dinosaur lover and figure collector, these look great on the shelf.
Things that are great about it:
The T-Rex is extremely poseable with many ball joints. The figure is sculpted very good. The figure is large and has the correct sauroscian or lizard-hipped stance and the two fingers instead of three. The interchangeability to mix with other Skeleflex figures is really neat. The Dino Powerflex Lab is cool and offers a new and cool idea. For kids, this may become one of their favorite figures and may want to know more about dinosaurs and for collectors it will become a great displayed item.
Things that aren't so great about it:
Not much but the Dino Powerflex Lab could use more features. Tight joints are maybe too tight so be careful with them and if they are too tight then just leave them in. Be careful with the ribs when you move his arms as they come off easily.

Mix other ones to make your own creature. It fits great as a decoration and toy. It is great for all ages (as long as an adult is with child). We love the product and recommend it to all.
